Engine crooked
I did a frame swap on my 87 with a 70s frame. I put new motor mounts on before I put the engine in and now it doesn't sit straight. The passenger header is almost touching the spring shackle. I never had this problem with t before because I wouldn't even be able to get the exhaust on. The tranny needs to come more towards the close side to bolt that to the crossmember. Anyone have any ideas? Everything else on the frame went on without any trouble except for the engine into the mounts

Re: Engine crooked
Have you checked the frame to see if it is square? The passenger side header to shackle bolt interference is a common problem with the '73-'87 K series trucks, but yours looks a bit much. Of course it is hard to tell exactly from the pic. Why did you change frames in the first place?

Re: Engine crooked
I don't think you can put the crossmember in the wrong way but that's what it sounds like.

Pulled off one of the mounts last night to take a better look at everything and realized they are adjustable on the frame. Moved the driver side all the to the front and left the passenger mount all the way back, it is straight now so far. Just have to finish wrestling it completely into place but side to side is almost dead even now with it started on the mounts. I changed the frame because I bent my old where the tow hooks are from pulling people out with the chain wrapped around both hooks. And I didn't measure the frame but everything went on it smooth so I assumed it was straight until I saw this
