Thanks man. I've done A LOT of work to the car. I planned on driving the car all the time from the beginning of the project, so I knew I wanted an LS with fuel injection, overdrive, big brakes, hydroboost, all new floor pans, new wiring, all new steering, etc.

I fabricated all of my rear suspension and built it along the same lines as the truck trailing arm suspensions.

I'd be happy to help if you have any questions. I've got a lot of pictures, etc. if there's anything you'd like to see.

Thank you, sir!

It completely snow-balled from what I originally had planned (don't they all), but when it's done it should be a pretty nice car.

Lol, I know mine has snowballed. Didn't plan on a lot of the stuff I am doing, but I plan on keeping this car long term so I am doing the main stuff like floor pans, wiring, brake system etc. All the finishing touches can come later. I plan to have it finished enough for the 2015 power tour, I had so much fun in my c10 last year I have to go again.

Oh I can definitely dig that. I plan on keeping my wagon a long time too, so I didn't mind doing so much work to it.

One of my goals is to drive the Long Haul on the Power Tour and Drag Week one of these years.

My car had Fred Flintstone floor pans but it came with full length left/right pans, so that was a no-brainer for me to go ahead and do the whole thing.

Thanks man. I do have a build thread on another website, but I've had a couple other projects that have taken my time so the wagon has been put on hold for a bit.

I actually just made a deal to buy back my dad's old '69 C10 short step side that he daily drove for 10 years and sold 15 years ago. He sold it to a family friend's son that was 17 at the time and is 32 now. I am super excited to get the truck back, LS swap it, and start daily driving it like my dad did over 15 years ago!

Haha, yeah, without the front fenders on they look huge, but with the fender on it, it doesn't look nearly as big for some reason.

If anyone cares, here's my build thread on a local board.

The rear is turning out great with some sleeves from mc master carr. but i am having trouble getting the front sensors in a good spot. Do any of you have experience putting the level sensors on a x frame car??

Thanks man. It's been a while since I've worked on it, and as soon as I can get my dad's old truck back I'll get back to work on the '61.

My buddy that helped me get started on the car has a really sweet '60 Parkwood with a 6.0/76mm turbo/4L60/air ride that was kind of my inspiration when I started building my wagon.

If you're referring to Sherman, Tx, their mascot is the Bearcats, but that's close enough. Haha

Re: 1960 chevy parkwood wagon!

Loving that 60 parkwood posted above, I know i have seen a writeup on it somewhere also. Looks like my rear end may tuck lugs when laid out?? Are you bagged guys running bump stops? I dont have any right now and was wondering if i should set some up.

Also i always wonder what the person looks like associated with a screen name, so here is a pic of me after getting some new glasses this last weekend. I was driving my beater Mercedes wagon.
