98 Silverado 4X4 Transmission Replacement

My son burned up the transmission in his 98 K1500 Silverado today. Any tips or tricks I should know about removing and replacing it?

Re: 98 Silverado 4X4 Transmission Replacement

I bought a transmission jack the first time I had to change a 4AOD transmission - those are heavy suckers. My son will be helping. It looks like the transfer case is pretty light, especially compared to my NP 205. It looks pretty straightforward. Thanks for the link.
