tire size?

I had put this in the wrong forum. So here it is in here,

What size tire are people using for this set-up. ART UCA and LCA with bags and 2 inch drop spindles. I lowered my truck to the ground yesterday and the tire was hitting the cut out potion of the fender well. i have 205/70/15 on it now and looks like maybe I have to go to a lower profile. Any suggestions?

I'll probably die a slow gruesome death for this but IMO you shouldn't switch to a shorter tire (too short of one anyway) to gain clearance.

The main reason we lower our trucks is to improve the looks & a tire that's too short detracts from the all the hard work because it looks 'lost' in the wheelwell opening. These trucks need a 26" minimum height tire (27" is better) up front. Your 205/70-15 is 26.29" & already right @ the edge of that minimum height.

Cut the top of that inner fenderwell for clearance or don't go as low. What good is having the clearance to have it slammed if it looks goofy the rest of the time your driving it?

Anyhoo . . .... this is just my perspective.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Not to hijack the thread, but how big of a tire do you think is needed to look right in the back?

Stock sizing was about 28.5" tall so I like to keep it @ 28" minimum up to about 31".

In a perfect world, 27.5" up front; 28 ~ 29" on the rear.

Thanks for the info! I want to try and get the truck to look right the first time. It's too expensive to keep doing things over and over!

I just got 255/60's that are 27.1" tall on Van rallys on the front and 275 60's 28" tall for the back on 8" rallys. I would not want to see any shorter of a tire in there. I am not on Air but the tire sizes look killler. Either cut for clearance or dont go as low. IMO
