Re: 22" wheels on burbs Q

I also had to change the panhard bar to a adjustable one to center the diff, on anglr approaches it still rubs, but straight bumps and driving was ok. I am gonna widen my inner tubs to fix this problem.

Re: 22" wheels on burbs Q

Okay the wheels are 20x8.5 front with 4.5 backspacing, rear 20x10 with 5.5 backspacing.
The front tires are 255 /35 20 I think and rear are 315/35/20.

Re: 22" wheels on burbs Q

Could you not roll your front fenders...pull them out some?
I am running an 8" wide wheel with 4.25 backspacing, and I do not rub....and have enough room even when I am all the way down . So you can run the wheels you want...its all about the offset/backspacing and width.
...for a static drop, that is spot on....I would hate for you to lift it up

I know right! Well, Im trying to run stock inner fenders....right now where I sit I have one inch from the top of my tire to the inner fender. So unless I cut my fenders and do a lot of fabricaton which Im not really capable of...I don't see them fitting. I'm looking into other inner fender options but I dont want to have to change my hood hinges too...This isnt a show car or custom rod...It's just my daily driver.

Check with 67cheby. He has some different inner fenders that will work.

Re: 22" wheels on burbs Q

I am having the same problem with my 20x10's rubbing in the rear when turning. I bought them off craigslist and I think the backspacing is off a little bit.

Ill let you know if this spacer and wierd lugnut thing I have coming works out. I'm not exactly sure what is on its way but the shop I bought my wheels from is sending me some spacers and some sort of lug nut that he said is specially designed for using with spacers...it is supposed to give you more thread useage etc...Not sure what to expect. Anyway...it looks like we'll need to mini tb, go with a wider rear end, throw in some spacers or make some suspension upgrades.
