72 Chevy Vent Window Replacement

I found this post here.

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=157539

But even with that I had the hardest time getting the vent window out of the door. I looked on Youtube and they make it seem like the vent window will just come out. My door has a spot for a screw for the vent window where as the ones shown in the video and other post do not.

Just my luck I cracked the damn window. I am going to pick up a replacement window today but don't want to break it trying to install the vent window. Do all the doors have this metal piece in it (See image)? I was thinking of cutting it out so I'd have more room. I figured since I already cracked the window I might as well try to see if I could get the vent window installed. The vent window would not go in with the door window. The more and more I tried to force it to fit the more my window cracked. Please someone tell me there is a trick to installing this vent window.

Thanks for you help in advance.

Mike
