In carters manual pic I find it unclear as to which are rubber/steel pretty sure I have it right but just want to make sure.

make sure you double Nut the bolt. But a nylon nut in there ot makes taking them off for any reason easier

Re: Radiator Support Install ???

Responding to this old post but is there any way to go around having to remove the radiator and everything else that is getting in the way of me inserting the bolt from the top of the core support? I have a 1970 c10. Thank you all for the support.

Re: Radiator Support Install ???

Now I have an issue. I just went and checked the 67 parts truck I have for my 71 restoration. In checking the radiator mounts, they are "both" flush with the top of the frame. No, the vin tag no. and the frame numbers are not the same and there is the number 7--5--7 stamped into the pass. side frame below the frame ser. number. I am thinking I have a 71 cab on a 67 frame??

Re: Radiator Support Install ???

I just went through this recently with my '67.

I just went to Lowes to their fastener section and got all the parts necessary to duplicate the LMC page's front 67-68 core mounts ( including the thick rubber washers and everything else ).

I just slid the radiator to one side while I mounted the other side and then vice versa. Didn't have to do anything special and didn't need OEM parts.

Re: Radiator Support Install ???

I got my set from a forum vendor, Classic Heartbeat. The owner answered all my questions each time I called. Fit has been excellent.

I am not quite finished with installing mine...as I had to loosen those to get the front end back on.

I think those washers aren't going to last long, the factory rubber is fiber-impregnated. If you did find the right material though what was it called? All my hardware is fine, I just need new rubber.
