Re: Slot lovers unite!

I'd love to get slots, but the sets I've found aren't the size I want and aren't very friendly to the budget. I'm trying to find some 16x8's or some 16x10's for my truck. I hate 3/4 tons, wheels are hard to find, CHEAP!!!!

Man that's a beautiful truck. I love the look of the new versions of these wheels. Perfect combo of retro style and modern flare. Thanks for the pics.

Re: Slot lovers unite!

Test fitment today. I know people are running 33s on C20s, but I wanted to do a test fitment before I commit to buying new tires. There may be 1 good one between the four I have. I only have 1 set of lug nuts so I just did this side.

I still don't know if I'll have enough clearance when the suspension is loaded until I drive it. Looks pretty good. I still have quite a bit of cleanup to do, and then I'll need to paint the hubs or find something to cover those Dana 60 hubs.

Old Skool is the rule.....

I found (2) 6 lug 15 x 8-1/2 Indy Aluminum Slots and (2) 15 x 7 Western Aluminum slots via internet searches. Rear tires are 33x12.5x15, fronts are 235-75-R15.

Well here she is....took alot longer to get em on the truck than I expected.
I love these wheels. Makes the truck look just the way I wanted.

Now, unfortunately, with the Doctor bills ever mounting, a 1 year old baby girl, and some changes at work....looks like I'll be saying goodbye to it. Sometimes it's difficult not to get a little "hacked off" at the way things turn out. But I know where a couple more trucks are...so when things get settled down again, I'll start over.

I just got this blazer yesterday for parts, mainly for the slots. I traded a pair of fenders for the whole rig.

What size wheels / tires are you running?
What's the specs on your suspension?
I'd like to check out a build thread, if you have one, if that'll answer my questions, easier.
Thank you in advance.

Nope, as with all Ford/GM they had to do everything different.

Chevy 5 on 5
Ford 5 on 5.5

rims-15x8's front and 15x10's back.
stance-3''-5'' drop coils.

Hope this helps.

Re: Slot lovers unite!

Well as usual I am tail end charlie on these conversations but here is my daughters first vehicle project that I have been working on since last March.
It is actually finnished but this was when we first put her slots on it.
I bought the wheels from someone on this site as well as the truck and alot of misc. parts to put it together. Pretty cool!
BTW, some great looking rides here! I am an original freak but man I do like slots on our vintage trucks.

Re: Slot lovers unite!

For those interested in new slots, I just saw an advertisement in Classic Truck magazine that Stockton Wheel now produces the old slot wheels in various sizes and widths and even 6 lug pattern.

The only piece of the truck that doesn't need work, the rims. 8 lug, 16.5 inchers.

Re: Slot lovers unite!

Here is a few shots of the 15X10 8 lug slots that came with my 68 panel that I just brought. Have no clue to as what brand they are. On the back, it has "15x10" "Do not exceed 60psi" "max load range 1580lbs" then it has what appears to be the peace sign (circle with three lines) and single letter "L" on it. The panel came with 5 of these. Any idea of the maker?
