Re: 67 gmc-project ball to the walls

Well its time to kickstart this project again. Last summer I did end up getting the truck on the road but ended up having a break down and I parked it for the winter.

I have now decided that I want to finish this truck fully so let the body work begin!

Here are some pics of the cowl hood I made and the rust repair I did. Also one of the super T 10 that I got over the winter to repolace the saginaw.

Re: 67 gmc-project ball to the walls

Well finaly got to roll the truck into the garage tonight. Once it was in the old hood came off and hit the scrap pile. With a friends help we placed my cowl on for the first time and I got to see how it looks with the truck. I think it looks good for a first atempt at making a cowl. Still got a lot of sanding to do before its ready for primer.

Re: 67 gmc-project ball to the walls

Got some work done last night. The hood is really starting to shape up. I also finished stripping the part of my bedside that I need to pull out and do some metal replacment. I should be getting a uni spotter next week so I can start on that.

Re: 67 gmc-project ball to the walls

That's what I ended up doing. While the transmission was going in I ended up getting the rear end built with an Eaton posi. Way more fun to drive!

Just got back from back to the 50s last night. I have never seen so many old cars in one place before. Picked up lots of stuff. I'm going to unpack and post up some pics tonight.

I'm no expert painter, I have just been learning as I go. I used a cheap princess auto gun when I sprayed the truck. Are you looking to do body work or just scuff and paint?

Nice work leaving that wheel well lip in place since the patch panels don't have that indent. I like your style Nate
