Factory Inner fender color
I am redoing my engine bay and repainting everything. After I got the inner fenders washed and cleaned up to sand I noticed they are kind of a grey color. Does anyone know what the original color was. I had always thought it was just a flat black.

Re: Factory Inner fender color
They were just the black finish, that was put on when made. I think the greyish look, is just from age, and use.

Re: Factory Inner fender color
The Janesville assembly location has been known to use a sort of greyish primer.
All others assembly plants used black (not glossy). K
