My 1963 230 on the run stand. VIDEO
I’m really glad I built this run stand. Makes life easy to get the engine dialed in and ready to install. Folds up smaller than my engine hoist.

The fold up aspect of your stand is awesome! I built one but it doesn’t fold. And I find it to be amazingly useful if you are going to be building engines. The ability to (relatively) quickly run it, tune it and check for issues is awesome. I first had a 153 Chevy II motor that I ran on mine, then a 427, and most recently a 350. Great tool!

Yes, when it’s folded up, it takes up minimal space.
I always get nervous when moving an engine around the shop on a regular stand. This thing is super stable. Latest test shows no oil pan or rear main seal leaks. Saves time and labor.
