Re: My Nameless 79 Blazer Project

It's been a while since I've posted, and I wish I could say I have good news on the truck. A lot has happened in the last four months.
In September we moved down to the Las Vegas area. Funds got a little too tight and I ended up selling the motor and transmission about a month after we arrived. I also just recently sold the 12 bolt and am working on selling the front end and wheels/tires now.
In a way this might actually be good news. Thanks to all of this I am going to take my time and build the truck I've been dreaming of from the ground up.

Re: My Nameless 79 Blazer Project

Here it is after I took the front clip off for the first time, and the steady downhill spiral after that.
At the time I didn't have a hoist of any kind, so I strapped some 2x4's across the front clip and lifted it off myself. I will never do it this way again. It's way too awkward and cumbersome.

Re: My Nameless 79 Blazer Project

The parts taken out. I still need to ditch the rear shocks and leaf springs, and maybe the exhaust.

Re: My Nameless 79 Blazer Project

I picked this up to drive while I take my time building the truck I want. It's a 1974 Buick Apollo. It'll probably get the same treatment as the Blazer once that's done. For right now I'm just fixing a few little things to make it a reliable enough daily driver.
