Re: reasonable?

it was in fla.. there is a lot of sea water and land there..
you'll have to look, at least no ones painted it and hide the sins.
you'll see them ..
look for rust in lower fenders, floors, cab corners and bracing ,bed floor, etc frame
roof and is the rug wet?
it's only 1500.oo if it runs good and moves and unless it's a rust bucket..
isn't all that bad..
the southern guys seem to find rust free for almost free,, but those not in the dry air..
rust free cost money..
good luck

stich626 has pretty much summed it up. Make sure you can take it out for a test drive so the mechanics can be checked. Good Luck!!

Smile Re: reasonable?

I'm a guy that takes a creeper with me and if there is any cancer in the floor i normally walk away. But the orange and white 2 tone trucks are hard to walk away from there such pretty trucks Me i be looking at the frame where the shocks are. Most people don't check the shocks and they get lose they will raddled that bolt and crack the frame.I be checking for anything bent.

But the cancer is what you really look for its the killer on your pocket book the floor bords to put them in from a body shop i'm being nice for a Cab floor 900-1800.00 and then you have rocker panels.Last time i looked per hour here in Calif its 95.00 a hour to 105.00 a hour for body work so see how much work plus what else is needed to get the truck to be safe and see if its a worth wild deal

Re: reasonable?

update- couldnt get the papers transfered without knowing the exact weight of the truck. so i had to get a mechanic to varify a weight so they could register it. by the time all of that was done the notary had closed. but im picking it up on monday and took a few pics.

im pretty happy with it for $1300. the kid also told me that there is a junkyard not to far from me that has about 30 of these trucks, so overall im pretty excited
