Picked up a 1 owner California Truck, Any ideas? Leave the way it is, or full restoration? Step sides worth anything?

Nice truck,did you take the wrap around bumper off?
My opinion...Fix any terminal rust, get it safe,give it a good clr bath and a good wax or clear and drive it.

Oh and welcome take some time and look around and learn this site it will be a life saver to you truck

Is that a NY truck? I mean it's still got fenders on it. Oh yeah, stepsides are worth something. Like the others I think you should clean it up and repair/refresh the important things like brakes and tires and drive it a while until you get a feel for how you should proceed with it.

Welcome to the board - nice truck. You're going to get some great opinions with a start like that. Lowered , stock , full resto , all great ideas. I have lowered , glad I didn't cut anything as it could be raised to stock again , as I age that sounds like an interesting plan. A truck that clean could be with you for a while , as the rust belt doesn't have a lot to work with.
