transmission woes

does anybody know what years chevy used a fully synchronized 3 speed in their half ton trucks. have a 65 would like to use fully synchronized in it. and keep it 3 on the tree. has anybody tried this before, and what would i need to swap it out

it will bolt right up and if you have the long tailshaft the drive line just might be the same also. the linkage rods are a bit different but some guys are maken em work just fine. I think GM might have put some in the 65 I know they used em 66

A friend had a 3 speed full syncro in a '71 1/2 ton FWD. I never liked driving it that much. I had a muncie 4 speed in my '67 C10 that was much more satisfying. I would look for one of those unless you are set on a column shift.
