Thanks!

It sat up for a decade or so. We pulled it 200' to my brothers place and got to work; I half-heartedly put the battery on 20a and it miraculously took a charge and held it. The gas tank was empty, but it was a crank/no start with some canned gas. Bad fuel pump (which might be why the truck was decommissioned in the first place). With a new fuel pump, new rubber fuel lines, filter, and it cranked and started. Added 5 gallons of fresh fuel to the tank, some marvel oil, and let it run for about 4 hours. Thermostat began to modulate, settling at 195f, 50 psi oil pressure at hot idle, no leaks. Thing runs just fine. Took it around the block and it drove just fine.

So, later this year, it'll get shipped out west to my shop for a frame-off. I have an L29 7.4 that really wants a new home

That 67 has a really unique look. Is there bare metal showing or a gray primer?

Re: everybody post a pic of your truck.

I made the hood scoop out of two rusty hoods. I can unbolt it from the hood and run it with just the air cleaner sticking up. I can take off the velocity stack and it would look like a stock hood. Every thing is all steel.

Wow I usually don’t like non factory hoods on these trucks but that’s pretty dang cool, super creative. Looks clean too, seriously nice work.

Re: everybody post a pic of your truck.

Rob, my truck had the same power steering as yours. I didn't know if the one line was original that went way back to the upper control arm. Are those the factory style lines?
