GMC 228 Head Gasket Replacement

Im having to change my head gasket and I would like to know what sealant to use on victor reinz metal gasket and how to apply it around the coolant holes

I've used KW copper coat https://www.crcindustries.com/produc...l-9-wt-oz.html in the past. I couldn't tell you the last time I used a metal head gasket though. Maybe on the 235 that I did a ring and valve job on before I put it in my brother's 48 one ton.

Thanks for the reply seems all the head gaskets for the gmc 228 are metal that I’ve found. I just want to be sure to get it on right the first time. 👍
