1970 4X4 Gas tank relocation

I am doing a full frame off restoration of my truck and will be relocating the gas tank to under the truck as I am going with EFI and want it out of the cab. All the kits appear to work only for 2WD trucks as the 4x4 has a frame cross member in the area where the tank lives. What do the 4x4 guys do to relocate the tank? Thank you

Relocate the one on the truck and buy another crossmember to support each end of the tank (straps)

Re: 1970 4X4 Gas tank relocation

I relocated my tank to the the rear between the frame rails on my 1970 C10 4X4. Went with a Boyds Welding tank. It has tabs on both sides that rest on the lower frame rails. Perfect fit, sturdy. No issues what so ever.

I did a 5.3L swap in my 70 K10. I used Rick's Tanks made in Texas. Stainless steel tanks. High quality, but pricey. IMO well worth it.

I can also give a thumbs up to Ricks Tanks. Had them make me a custom tank for my flatbed. If my math is correct it will be about 45 gal
