Next time I'll figure out a way to do a Foose paint job on a taco bell budget.

I think it is a dramatic difference from the "before " pics. Looks good and it didn't cost you a fortune!

Looks good, & probably is more fun to drive..
One more hurtle to have overcome, one less ' thing to do'.

It's all in the presentation,.. a snapshot is just a snapshot.. until you put a FRAME around it- then you've got a PICTURE !
Great job ! and all in a weekend to boot..

Wish I could find the color of my truck in a sateen finish (Rustoleum of course). I'd shoot my truck in a heartbeat. I think a flat green in the color of my truck would look great.

I've decided if I can finf the right color, or if I can get a custom mix, I'm gonna paint my truck the same way. It's a work/play truck anyway. This way if I scratch it, it won't be a $1,000 scratch!

Started painting my Longhorn last fall using RustOLeum. The frame, cab and front clip had to set out all winter and did not want it to rust. It survived real well. I am now working the bed now. The mix ration I use is 4 to 1. I use good quality automotive reducer to thin the Rustoleum. I check the thinning by watching the paint run off the stir stick. If the stream breakes into drops and about six inches above the mixed paint I call it good. I use a siphon gun and 30 PSI. The reducer makes the paint dry much faster. Several thin coats is better than heavy coats. Let the paint set until it is tack free, about an hour and put it in the sun. Will dry hard in about two hours and shine like a mirror.
