Manual Tranny Options for Blazer

I'm wondering if anyone has swapped out their 4 speed for a 5 speed overdrive tranny in a 4x4 blazer. Tremac or NP4500? Other? I'm looking for an overdrive manual. If not, I'd fall back to an automatic 700R4. I'm trying to stay away from computer and special harnesses. Thanks

Re: Manual Tranny Options for Blazer

I put a nv 4500 in mine. Quad 4X4 has any thing you need.

but all honestly you can do it with an exploded view of it.

This is the doge version but very similar was a big help

It is a grate trany good for towing it is not a quick shifting trans though its a one ton. The nv3500 is an option if power levels are lower.

It is always more fun to shift then just sit their IMO.
