Dude, that's neat!

I'd want a trip meter, a heat guage, and a tachometer.

So where did you find the actual gauges that fit it?

Ya man, if you could, get us some pics of just your new dash. I'm very interested in this product.

It was a real pain in the A getting the gauges mounted and wired and adding the captive hardware along the windshield side to keep it firmly bolted down but it was worth it. it only comes in black so I used SEM vinyl dye to match the seats.

Thanks a ton (again) man. I definitely want that. It would be a classy way to get gauges that I want without changing my basic gauge set up.

Believe me it's a lot better when you're sitting behind the wheel. Thanks!

Why, yes I am a hoodlum! What you missed is the sign on the road. That was the entrance to Southwest International Dragway so I was playing on private property.

Just dashes does replacement dash pads for almost every popular 60's muscle car. I picked up on just dashes when a friend used one of their pads on his 65 GTO.The finish on the truck pad is good but it is only available in black. I dyed mine to match the seats (SEM vinyl dye). If you go to their website the installation instructions are there and they show how to install the gauges. The captive screws are a bit fragile but they were easy to reinforce using epoxy and small fiberglass mat from the local RC model shop. The auto repair stuff is too heavy.

You just gotta love the sound of a GM big block!

As for the interior, learn to sew! The carpet is really easy if your sewing machine has a binder attachment. The upholstery guy in our Classic Chevy club wanted 10K to do that interior the way I wanted it. I decided to buy a used industrial leather sewing machine and do it myself. Took a bit longer but the bill was 1/10th of what he wanted.

Well that's how it usually goes man. I built a set of ski/snowboard racks for my rental condo that were so specialized, I don't think any but the most qualified (and expensive) of carpenters could have done it as well.

And you get the satisfaction of "ownership" of the final result.
