Headlights - modernizing them?

Anyone out there modified or changed their headlights in your burb?

I was looking for the same style shape as my '68 but crystal clear and/or with a projector or HID beam. Any suggestions?

If you've changed and/or modified, lets see some pics!

Thanks,
Dave

I'm also trying to find a modern car headlight that's the same size/shape, but so far no luck. I did see in another forum about the replacement lights, they look like H.I.D.'s?! Is that what your putting in?

Thanks,
Dave

I got them installed today but they both seem to be loose. The retaining ring is tight but the notches on the back of the lamp itselfs are different from the buckets. They are orientated correctly but one of the bucekt notches is different. I don't think that it is anything that will affect driveability but just an observation. Other than that they look cool as hell.

I put in lights from MATRIX. the light itself is the big round one then you use a {I think} an H4 bulb in it so if it burns out you just replace the bulb itself. I have the Matrix blue's in. Looks like the new HID. If interested I can get part numbers from work.

You check out my website and check out the whole truck, but no pics of just the headlights. they look just like the original but you just have to replace just the BULB if they burn out. They take an H-4 bulb I believe.

I'll add my .02$ . I have a set of hella replacements just for our trucks. I found them in the LMC catalogue. These things are as bright as my 03 suburban, if not brighter. I think there about 49$ a piece.
