custom mirrors

i am putting 95 f150 door mirrors on my truck and i am wondering how others handled the brace that goes into the doors on the back of the mirrors. what have you done to make them work ? pictures would be appreciated but any help will do

That is what's on my truck. But they came off of a 81 f-100.I used a 1/4 nutsert kit that I got from the camper lot I used to work at.We used them when we puy a middle brace on a awning. I will try and think to get a pic tomorrow.

I have one test fit on my Blazer... I hacked the arm off the mirror... It doesnt bounce that much....

does the brace go between the window track and the vent window spring and shaft?
