HELP.. headlight wiring harness.

1970 c10 on the drivers side near the headlight off the headlight wiring harness there is a black and white wire has a fuseable link can anyone tell me what this wire is? and on the passenger side same situation except the wire is solid black same with fuseable link doe anyone know what these wires are? thanks

They "control" the operation of the battery gauge. They contain 4 amp fuses.

so the black one has an eyelit it should be hooked up to power? would these affect starting or operation of headlights?

I can't remember off the top of my head where they connect. No they won't affect the operation of the starting circuit or headlights....

The one on the passenger side connects to the junction block closest to the battery. The one on the drivers side connects to the main “splice junction” in the wiring harness behind the headlight.
