Post Running new brake lines - bending ?'s

I had to wait until now to post and im still (expletive deleted)!! Sorry, running all new brake parts, got the front lines ran w/o problem (3/16" lines).
Started on the rear (1/4"). The pass side, behind the front tire, the line takes a hard u-turn. It looks like its trying to stay away from the exhaust. I've gone through 5 pre-made tubes and (ex-deleted) 'em up!! Just can't get that turn to bent w/o kinking.
Looked for other routes, im just not sure. I've been using the pre-made lines (don't have a flare tool). Im using a screwdriver c-clamped to bench to bend the pipe. This works for "the easy stuff" but this u-turn is a (ex-deleted). Hope this makes sense.
ANY ideas??? Thanks.....don t. ....
BTW...this has me SO stressed that I just HAD to call in sick at work (grin). Its a mental thing (grin).

Just buy a tubing bender for a few bucks at any auto parts store. You can make tight turns with them.

Are you making a 'show' truck? If not, I
would run the rear brake line a bit different
...follow the front brake line on the pass-side
across the front cross member, then loop it
back thru the pass-side motor mount and bring
it to the back that way. There would be no
chance for the hot exhaust to heat the brake
fluid, nor rub a hole in the line from say
hedders. that stock brake line suck coming
up over the bottom frame like that.

you can basically run brake tubes whrre ever you wish to as long as are away from moving parts and exhaust, so if you see a route you can make them take that would allow no so sharp of a bend then use it if its clear of moving or hot parts,

and yes go get a bender tool, they are cheap and save you lots of trouble. flaring tool is free rental at A/Z

i've had good luck bending brake lines with 2 box end wrenches, you just have to go slow and keep the bends close together, working your way around the bend, sounds like you tried pretty much everything else, hope this works for you.

I "just thought" that a bender would be semi-mucho bucks. Probably would have paid for itself at this point. I just called napa (closest thing around), ballparked at 10 bucks! Oh well, live & learn.

I used a WD-40 can. Of course it won't make a really tight bend, but it's PERFECT for that 90 bend up by the rear brake hose!! Speaking of witch, I should go back outside and finish my brakes...LOL

Unless you are NEVER going to work on another vehicle as long as you live, I'd just pop for a tubing bender and a flairing tool now and be done with it. I learned the same lesson the hard way years ago. Spent more on tubing than the correct tools to do the job by the time I was done.

Usually best to buy or rent the proper tool so you can get it done and have it look right.After you buy it you never have to do without the right tool again.I have two different tubing benders at work and they both work well,especially for brake or Hyd lines.They are rolling block style.I also have a set of spring type benders that work well for bending fuel lines or soft tubing for various industrial applications.
