93 k1500 build

this is the start of my long going project (still thinking of a name..) it is a 93 k1500 ext cab with a 350 bored .60 over and cammed, 4" suspension lift and 3" body lift on 35/12.50 R15 wheels. the first pictures are of as it sits now all cleaned up not yet showing what ive done to it. when i first got the truck it needed some brake work and had a few hidden suprises. everything ive had to do so far is rotors, driver side front brake line off of the T, wheel hub, cv axles, full fuel system clean, full tune up and a tranny flush and filter change.

now the things ive done to it, i re did the whole stereo besides the coax speakers, new pioneer head unit with a rear usb, a boss riot series 2 channel 600w amp thats powering 2 boss d10 10" subs in a under seat sealed down fire box with a poly fill, then ive also wired in a usb power hub to be able to charge my ecig, then i put a oem 79' hood embelem on from my old 88. almost forgot to post pictures of the motor so here those are as well

Re: 93 k1500 build

you dont get this everyday off of a craigslist buy, when i was organizing the glove box and manufactures book, i found 3 very nice things to have the original of the gm lot brand new window sticker, the trucks warrenty pamphlet, and the warrenty card on the dealer tires as well

Re: 93 k1500 build

now what my plans are for it. a rcx 6" suspension lift, torsion bar relocator (if i can still get them) keep the body lift, build a mild 355, rebuild the 4L60E with a shift kit, go through everything else and refurbish (front and rear diffs, and transfer case) under coat everything, fix the body rust, im not sure on a full exterior color yet but i want to re paint and re dye the interior black with brush aluminum accents. theres a few more things i just dont fully re call them off the top of my head right now

Re: 93 k1500 build

Some day I would like to do something with mine. I'm experiencing some frame rust and cab rust.
An upgrade I did that you may want to investigate is the LS engine transplant. My truck never ran so good. It gets better mileage too. Something to think about.

Re: 93 k1500 build

ill defanitly look into it, im still going round on what the new heart will be. the frame was one of the fist things i had to look at on this truck with me wanting to do the SAS because on mine and my dads 88 k1500 the frames were pretty bad so it took them off the list :/ my old 88 was so bad my frame actually snapped
