Re: 58 1 ton truck chassis/drivetrain

The stock front wheels were the dually type and are long gone. The front wheels on the truck now are just 15" shop roll arounds...one of the roll around rears is a split type single wheel and I'm not sure of the dia., I keep forgetting to check it. Are you looking for a single or dually type 17.5" wheel??

Re: 58 1 ton truck chassis/drivetrain

Guys, I'm not sure what proper etiquette is in this case, but shorty hasn't checked in to the site since he posted here...at least under his sign-on.

I've sent a PM (doesn't do any good if you don't sign in), of course with no response.

My feeling is we get to move on, if he checks back he can make a decision on what he may want then.

Let me know what y'all may want...

Re: 58 1 ton truck chassis/drivetrain

Can you get it on a pallet and weight it? If its not to expensive to ship I'd take the whole axle

Re: 58 1 ton truck chassis/drivetrain

Yea, I could get an estimate...need a zip though.
Length could be an issue...do we know anybody that may be driving between here and there at some point?
We make sporadic trips to Dallas now and then, I could hold the axle for a while for you if that made sense??

Re: 58 1 ton truck chassis/drivetrain

Unfortunately I don't know anyone driving that way. Picking up in Dallas is an option. The other idea is cut it in half. I don't need the axle it self I just need the hubs and spindles so it it fits on a much smaller pallet it would cost less. I do have a forklift so I don't need tailgate service. the zip is 77094 business address

Re: 58 1 ton truck chassis/drivetrain

Working on a freight quote now...may take till the morning to get an answer back. I would cut the axle at the back of the brakes, from there out could fit on a smaller pallet = less $$.

I can get them shipped to you for $75.00. Therefore, $175 to your door for all that has been discussed!

What PTO? You got a picture? You talkin about a PTO that would come off the side of the trans? If so, was the trans an SM420 granny low?

Not something I really need as my one ton isn't a dump, but could be a novelty later down the road if it is cheap enough. How much to 32097 and is it all there? Out put flange and whatever?

P.S. Is there a lever or shifter of some kind to engage and disengage? Never had one before.
