Heater fan motor?

I have a 72 with factory A/C ,The fan would not work at all but I figured that one out after a few hours of tracing wires. Now that the fan is working it works on low,med when you switch it to high it runs the same speed as low.I was reading and old post that said this could be a relay problem but I don't think they ever come up with a solution.

Re: Heater fan motor?

Most likely, it's the resistor.

Re: Heater fan motor?

It could be the high speed relay on top of the inside box behind the glove box
or
On mine (with A/C) it was a short ground wire not making contact
It is on a relay on the fire wall behind the glove box also

Check the ground under the hood to the fan case also

Her is a good link with some info http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=614941
