CORVETTE exaust for the poly tank

Im installing my poly tank i bought.
and i have to move my exaust, so i
thought about using corvette mufflers turned
sideways. Im going to put a 468 BIG BLOCK.
and i want it to sound unique.
but i have a 350 in it now.

but i got my poly tank in the mail and want to put it in

DO you think its a good idea about the mufflers????

I drew a pic of what im talking about.

im thinking about welding a exaust mount on the back of the mufflers and trying to use stock hangers.

I dont know what size the inlet and outlets are i need them to be atleast 2.5" to flow through a BIG BLOCK 468!

I think it would work OK as long as the muffs aren't too close to the tank. If i am thinking on the same page as you, the muffs will be mounted before the rear axle and come out infront of the tires.

I might look for a different muffler though.....since the exhaust will have to make a 180 degree turn before coming out. Something that goes in one end and out the other would proably be a bit better for flow

you can flow much better with other mufflers sharp bends restrict the exhaust and a 180 turn in that short of a space is definately sharp.

am I wrong in thinking that if it works on a vette, it's probably ok for the truck? The exhaust still has to turn 180 either way you mount the muffler right.....

the stock vette exhaust on the C5 is not nearly as restrictive as a lot of stuff that is installed on trucks. Not saying they flow a lot but certainly more than enough to support over 400Hp.
