The new carpet from LMC runs to the back of the cab. I have the tank out to replace as well. Any reason I can't install the tank over the carpet or should I cut the carpet?

Make a straight cut on both sides and just fold carpet up in front of tank , under the tank will invite corrosion . By cutting both sides you have the option of laying it back flat if you choose to move tank later on

I am thinking about ordering carpet from LMC also. Let us know when you are finished how the fit was , if you don't mind.

Buy mass backed carpet from ACC - auto custom carpet carried by a number of different vendors .

I got the carpet installed yesterday, happy with the fit. A little gap by the kick panels but I ordered a carpet kit for them which took up the gap.
The carpet shipped from LMC was an ACC carpet. I laid it out last week before I left on business, I placed some weights on it to help take the kinks and wrinkles out. I used carpet tape when installing which really helped. I cut the carpet as suggested and sticking the tank back in today. Shoot you a picture once I'm finished

Here are a couple pic's of the ACC carpet installed, cut as suggested by Grumpy Old Man. Real treat for Roxie, she never had carpet before.

Do you know if that carpet will go right to the back wall if the gas tank is removed? Is the carpet on the kick panel attached to the main carpet or is it a separate piece.
