What shorty headers for 65 C10

65 C10 with 09 5.3 and 4L60e.
I was just going to use the 5.3's stock exhaust manifolds but It looks like it might be easier to build the exhaust myself if I get a set of shorty headers. Might sound a bit better too. Any recommendation for a set of shortys?

Speed Engineering, but I think you will need different plug wires with a 45* or 90* end at the plug on 3 or 4 of the plugs.

That's one concern I had when looking at pictures of headers - plug wire fit.

I realize the Sanderson’s are ceramic coated but that’s a big jump in price. And it looks like the passenger side is pointing straight back more than the Performance Engineering ones.

Re: What shorty headers for 65 C10

I ordered a set of Scorpion SP16-5077CC ceramic coated for $225 on Ebay. I'll follow up here when I get them.

Re: What shorty headers for 65 C10

Scorpion headers arrived and I bolted them to my 08 5.3 for test fit. Not sure if there is different quality ceramic coatings so I can't tell on these. Fit is good. Two stock plug wires on each side are resting right on the header and will need something with a shorter 90 degree boot. On the passenger side they rest against a boss on the block that will need some grinding off but they said that in their description. Also the collector flange barely clears a boss on the tranny for a starter bolt and the flange won't swivel around so I have three positions to choose from for pointing my O2 sensor. I'm assuming they will clear the cab firewall once the cab is installed.
Can someone recommend a source for plug wires that will work?
