Question?

I am new to this whole restoration thing. What does " the truck is mounted 3 inches off of the frame" mean?

Re: Question?

i would assume it means the truck has a 3 inch body lift. Which is basically the body mount bushings are 3 inches thicker than stock.

When its said on here, that usually means the cab/body mounts are located 3" higher then the top of the frame.
You will usually see this in the threads where someone is putting the truck body on a newer frame... like a S10 or Dakota.

Re: Question?

Or 4wd that may have been lifted too. also involves lengtening brake lines, longer shocks, throttle linkage adjustment, brake and clutch pedel changes, sometimes shifter, and lots of minor stuff.
