flexplate question

I am installing a TH350 in place of the original 3 speed manual in my 64. What diameter of flex plate will I need. The old flywheel measures 14" outside diameter but the 14" flexplate I installed is too big, I cannot bolt the starter up

Thanks

Re: flexplate question

Double check the tooth count...and, you may have to shim the starter now.
