Crewcab door lock rods

just got my crewcab back from paint, went to lock it up and the rear door lock rod fell down the door.
when i fished the door lock rod out, also found this other rod laying in the bottom

i have taken these doors apart a few times, but have never had to screw with the lock rods.
as you can see, there is jack for access on the rear doors. i took the door handle out and tried to use a mirror and flashlight, but i can't make out a thing. tried to see how the other door is, but can't see nothing on it either.
looked all over online but can't find a diagram or anything about them.
was trying to avoid taking it completely apart again as i just put new window run, fuzzies, and 3/4 window seals in it.
anybody know how or where the big rod goes? the door lock rod seems to clip into a plate with a rod connected to the latch. thanks
