Bucket Seats

I have a '67 C20 that I'm hoping to fix up at some point, and while it comes with a bench, I was kind of hoping to put in bucket seats, if not from this generation, perhaps from the one immediately after it because I think they would still look the part. Do any of those, like maybe from a Blazer, fold forward like the bench does to get at stuff behind it? If not, has anyone done work on them to make them do so with a thread I can maybe follow along in?

Re: Bucket Seats

I think back in 67 the only buckets they had were buddy buckets. Two seats and a center console all bolted to a frame. Very expensive to buy now. The bench seats did fold forward I think up into 68, stationary backs after that. Not really much room behind the seats anyway with the gas tank back there.

Factory buckets 69-72 in trucks had a stationary passenger seat that didn't even slide much less tilt. But of course you could put a passenger bucket with tilt and slide out of a blazer. Again very expensive (to me at least) these days. Drivers side didnt tilt, just slid forwards and backwards.

If you go to the Google search box at the top of the page and click the button for 67-72chevytrucks.com, type in bucket seats, and hit search you will find threads from this board only that pertain to bucket seats.
