Welcome to the board.

Is this the thread?

It is usually like looking for a needle in a haystack. The more info you can post the better your chances are. Approx when it was sold, what part of the country, etc.

If you have a plate number sometimes you can get some old title info (VIN # and stuff from the DMV) which would also help.

Re: Looking for my dads first truck

Thanks for the info LockDoc. I would say it was sold in the late 80s or early 90s it was sold in Dalton, Georgia. But from word of mouth it was wrecked and was in a junk yard but not sure. I am not sure on how to and who to contact to find info with the tag number.

Around here the tag info would be at the courthouse. I know GA doesn't require titles for the older stuff but if you took the old plate number in to where you register your vehicles they may be able to see if it has been junked. Worth a try anyway.

When you are in the message window typing your message there is a paper clip up above the message box (between the Smiley face and two little curved arrows). Click on that and a box will pop up so you can upload a picture from your computer. Click on one of the "Browse" buttons and locate the picture you want to upload. Highlight the picture and click on the "Open" button, then click on the "upload" button, after it uploads close that window and it will take you back to your message.. You can actually upload up to 5 pictures at a time just by clicking on the next browse buttons before you upload the pictures.

If you get an error about a "Token Error" it means that your pictures are too big and you will have to size them down before uploading. I usually size mine down to 1150 pixels in width.
