I just came across this thread on a search of concept photos of the AD, damn I love this stuff!

Thanks to those who posted these. Kinda like a time machine car show.. One thing -- the pics show how hood and door gaps were when new. Makes me feel better about mine after 60 years. Also shows a vibrant detroit.

Isn't that the truth! My drivers door is 3/16" shorter at the body line than the passenger door.

In a recent episode of "iron resurrection" the pros chose not to mess with the doors and hood/fender fit on a AD. They made a point to say they wern't. Smart fellas. IMHO they destroyed a near perfect truck in the process.

The restored green stocker they made into the slammed gray one? I like how it came out but NO WAY I could have cut up what it started as. That was a waste of money and effort in my opinion.

Yup. Even the wife (non car person) said they ruined it. Better to buy a chinese cab and metal then slap it on the new frame. Must have cost 60-100K to ruin a $35k gem of an ad. Show should be called "iron destruction"
