72 GMC Sierra Grande

Hello I've finely decided to Clip my roof of my 1972sierragrande I've got a 71 roof with cab lights that's in great shape, I'm scared to death about cutting my roof if I agree it up my cab is toast so any of you guys out there that have done this and can send me a build thread and or explain where to cut any help will be appreciated. Cut big, trim to fit. Make templates to measure. Use body seams if you can.

i've been building wrecks for 30 years and I have clipped hundreds of truck and cars both cab clips[through the floor] and clip tops through the window hole. The best is to measure and mark but also fit your glass and doors as your making the final fits. It isn't that big of a job just stay on your toes as you go and you'll be fine.

hugger6933 Thanks for the reply how far down the A,piller,from the drip rail would you cut ? my windshield is out of my truck I'm going t o make a thin plywood template for the windshield and back window and I'm setting the doors also does sound like a good plan to you this donor roof i got it came off a 71, 4 wheel drive its got cab lights on it I'm going to keep them on for now if it start,s looking ungly I could put a new roof skin.Thanks again for the help Saddletramp
