Headlight wire awol

I recently bought a ‘99 1500. A couple weeks ago I was driving at night and hit the brights. I noticed the the driver side bright headlight was out. Today I decided that I would repair it. I opened the hood and see that there is a wire plug but no wires. The parking light wires are missing wire also. I’ve been trying to find a harness with no success. I found on the lmctruck site that they have the whole socket/wire harness for 07-13 Silverados. Does any one know if this will work or do have to make my own from pig tail plugs from the auto store?

Re: Headlight wire awol

I suppose you need to determine how messed up it is and decide what to do. If there are only a couple of sections of wire you need to solder/heatshrink and then your existing harness is 100%, then you can go that route.
