Folding Utility bucket seat?

Our local wrecking yard brought in a cut up 1968 panel that still had the single utility bucket seat which I picked up even though it was EXTREMELY rough as it still had the brackets which my Blazer pair was missing. My question is did any of the Blazers have a folding utility bucket seat on the right side or did they have a tilting one like on the sport buckets? I am still learning a lot on the 67-72 trucks. This is my second set of utility buckets(first was out of my sister's 72) . I have owned a lot of sets of the sport bucket seats and buddy buckets as I have a parts business but I mostly do squarebody parts

This is the second pair I have owned that didn't tilt. The first pair came out of my sister's original 72 Blazer. What I'm asking about is if it is a seat back that tilts or the whole seat? Both sets I had the seatbacks did not tilt. The single seat I got out of the panel, the seat back tilts. There doesn't seem to be a lot of info on utility buckets out there

Re: Folding Utility bucket seat?

I believe the Blazer passenger seats all tilted forward at the front of the seat bottom; the whole seat tilted. I think that's what you were asking.

When I got my Blazer it had a 73-up bucket on the passenger side. The top of the seat hit the windshield, so it didn't fold forward very far.

Re: Folding Utility bucket seat?

Unless things have changed, aftermarket foam and covers are not being made for the utility buckets, so you will have to make your own.

Yeah the foam is actually really good on these so that isn't an issue. They definitely need new covers made though. I know there's not many utility buckets out there so there isn't a big demand for the aftermarket to make any

Talking Re: Folding Utility bucket seat?

FWIW, the utility buckets have to be the easiest to recover. These are a perfect candidate for anyone that has never done upholstery before.
Just remember to use medium desity foam, not high density. Ask me how I know!

Re: Folding Utility bucket seat?

This is the original embossed pattern from SMS

You need 3 different materials, horizontal embossed for the seat back, full embossed lateral for the seat bottom, and expanded foam for the skirt
