Quick ? please respond

Im finally putting my 1967 2wd lb back together. My question is this, On a 67 should the front parking lights stay on when the headlights are pulled on? And if so what would cause mine to go off when I pull switch all the way out???

TMAD, THEY SHOULD GO OFF WHEN THE HEADLIGHTS ARE ON. THE PARKING LIGHTS DID NOT STAY ON WITH THE HEADLIGHT UNTIL THE ADDITION OF SIDEMARKER LIGHTS (1968). I HAVE WHAT I BELIEVE IS A "LATE" '67 THAT HAD "DUMMY" LIGHTS IN THE FRONT FENDERS. I'M NOT THE ORIGINAL OWNER OF THIS TRUCK, SO FOR ALL I KNOW, THE FENDERS COULD HAVE BEEN REPLACED WITH '68'S. I REPLACED THE LIGHTING HARNESS WITH ONE FROM A '69, AND PUT IN "REAL" SIDEMARKER LENSES. NOW MY PARKING LIGHTS STAY ON WITH THE HEADLIGHTS. I KNOW THIS IS A LITTLE WORDY, BUT I HOPE I ANSWERED YOUR QUESTION, INCLUDING SOME YOU DIDN'T ASK. MIKE

parking lights

67's parking lights are not suppose to stay on when you turn your headlights on, one of those unique things for a 67

They are suppose to go out when headlights are on (tail lights stay on). Cannot remember what year they started to stay on. As to blinkers, you may have a bulb out on one end or a weak flasher.

However, it's quite easy to wire the lights to come on with the headlights. I prefer that look, so that's how I did mine. All you have to do is find the wire that runs the park lights at the switch. Find where it's hot when the switch is turned to park lights and headlights and move the wire there. I believe it is the purple wire.
