Thoughts on this truck

I've been looking for a 67 stepper for a long time...this one is about 3½ hours from me....asking $7500...may take $6500...?....looks to be a base C10, 6cyl, 3speed.......owner claims it's rust free....your thoughts?

Paint looks fresh so you wouldnt see any rust even if covered up.

Great looking truck. I’d go look at it for sure if I was in the market.

Re: Thoughts on this truck

I like it. If it is rust free or even rust-normal, it's probably worth a long hard look at that price. That steering wheel reminds me of a Monti-Carlo from my past. Maybe it was a Buick cousin, but dang I don't think it goes with the truck well at all!

Re: Thoughts on this truck

I'd bet money it's not completely rust free, but it still looks nice in the pics. I'd say if you're in the market, I'd definitely take the drive to check it out. I like it!

That price seems high to me. I'm thinking about 4500-5000. My .02

Re: Thoughts on this truck

Where I am in California (desert), I don't see many really rusty vehicles. But take a magnet and try it on some really rusty iron you may have around where you are. Also, a magnet will not stick well to a vehicle that has a thick enough layer of Bondo, so you can try the magnet on anything you know that has Bondo, to prove it for yourself. Then try it on the "rust free" truck. Having to drive that far to check it out is kind of a pain, but that choice is yours. HTH

Re: Thoughts on this truck

Figure out something to do while there if the truck turns out to be a bust. That's what I do.

3OTT, stepside, bench seat, slant nose, what is not to like????

Re: Thoughts on this truck

If it's truly rust free it's worth every bit of 6500

They are all "Rust Free" until you show them the rust.......Even in Arizona they rust, just not that fast as they do everywhere else....

Re: Thoughts on this truck

It could be my screen, but it looks like the PS cab corner and lower door have taken a hit/scrape? Also a few other dings visible in other pics.

Bring a magnet, flash light, and look for bubbles. I see a couple bubbles on the hood in a weird spot.

Overall I like it, needs a white top and some cool door logos

Re: Thoughts on this truck

Maybe it's just my screen, but that paint doesn't look new at all to me. It looks like it's been on there a while. If that is confirmed, it's usually a good sign that it's pretty solid. It looks like a repaint, but a dated one.
