4l60e help
i have a 5.3/ 4l60e combo in my 71. Just got the swap done and took it out for the first cruise and it seems to be shifting from 1st to 3rd. No 2nd. Reverse works. Noticed the issue and turned for home. Also it wouldn't shift out of 1st unless i let off the throttle. I was just cruising through the neighborhood so i didn't go over 30mph. Transmissions are not my thing. Fluid level is good. Any ideas?

2-4 servo? Do you have any history with the transmission? Do you know if it was working prior to your install? PM member Clinebarger, he is really sharp on transmissions.

I have been in your shoes. Same symptoms as what you’re describing. I have had my trans built 3 times because of this. Hopefully with yours, it’s either the 2-4 band or the 2-4 servo.
