Just kidding.....
As Bill said, check for the easy stuff. Vacuum leaks, and timing. You should have hard start problems if the timing is out.
When the plugs fouled, was it oil fouled or gas?
If it's gas your carb may be dumping too much gas in there.
If it's oil, well you know that's not good.
Seriously, the LS style engine I put in my truck was the best investment I made. I did mine on the super cheap using craigslist for the motor and trans. there's a wealth of knowledge on this site to answer any question you may have.

Sorry guys, I'm not receiving notifications from the forum thats why I'm not responding quickly. I appreciate ya'lls advice.

I wish I could do the ls motor, but I don't have time or money. LOL

It's not oil since the plugs are dry, so I've tried a couple things since. I readjusted the carb and played with the timing. The timing marker is not where it should be on the balancer so my first adjustment was no good. So I've had to put it back where it was originally and advance it some from there. I added new plugs again. Also, I got too far advanced and got some pinging on the test drive so I backed off some. Also I reduced the idle mixture to run more lean. Hopefully theres some balance now.

Oh and I did switch which port I was getting the vacuum for the advance, I believe its manifold now but not sure. Lol With a vacuum gauge hooked up, it's showing that I'm getting more vacuum than from the old port.

With everything the way it is, my plan was to test drive for a week or so and check the plugs. But, the brakes are really acting up and I have all my parts in to do the front discs. So I've begun that process.

I'm attaching a picture with a question:
Theres still some ball joint left in the lower control arm. How do I get that one out? And how do I get the upper one out?

IIRC with the UCA's there are Rivets if they are original, you can grind the rivet head down, and punch the shaft out, the replacements should come with new hardware to bolt them up . The LCA you have to press the ball joint out, and press a new one in.

Re: Jojo's '70 Stepper

Like Heath said you will need to press the lower ball joints out. Go to autozone and pick up the C-clamp style press. If you have an impact wrench it makes easy work of the ball joint swap.
Go ahead and spend the extra money and buy Moog USA ball joints

Re: Jojo's '70 Stepper

Problems with the install of the disc brake system.

1. I broke the booster by depressing the pedal to screw it in under the dash. See pictures. Not sure if its fixable and hoping y'all can advise.

2. Some time back I had decided to go a different route and not lower the suspension, so I went for stock height spindles. Well performance online sent me drop spindles anyways. All spindles look the same to me, so I installed them. After getting it back on the ground, it seems as though I ended up with drop spindles after all. I guess I'll leave it that way and go back to my original plan (maybe get some springs for the back.

Pictures rotated sorry

Re: Jojo's '70 Stepper

Hope someone can answer you about the booster issue. The drop is mild and looks pretty good. Still a truck with clearance, but no nose bleed.

Thank you! I decided to go ahead and get the springs for the back when I get some extra money. Probably 4" to even it out some. It was in my original plans anyways.

Re: Jojo's '70 Stepper

So I ended up getting another booster from auto zone. I'm gonna see if it is compatible with the performance online master cylinder. It all hooks up together. I just need to get it on the road to test.

I got the front end stuff installed (no pics of the progress). It was a hassle with the stupid copper washers for the banjo bolts on the calipers. The ones that shipped didn't create a working seal so I kept leaking brake fluid. I ended up getting a kit with a bunch of different sized copper washers from summit. One of the sizes worked for me. After all that, we tried to bleed the system and now I have a leaky cylinder out back (ugh). Next step, getting that fixed and I hope to be testing out the system by next weekend.
