I remember when Illinois had 2 L's [Ill. ] And California was 5 letters [Calif.] Boy, that's an old Tach. Hope it works, but the odds are good, because Americans really built their stuff good then.
What's the front look like? Or are there 2 different tachs?
As far as wiring, it tells you. [+] to coil Positive [TACH if HEI]; [-] Neg to ground. The Black wire is your illumination bulb. Splice that into the grey wires under the dash to be controlled by the headlight switch dimmer, and go on with the lights.
