Tailgate Band - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Looking at the band on the tail gate of my 72 you can see the screws that are holding it on top and bottom. Is there some sort of insert that is supposed to hide the screw heads?

I am sure that I can fab something and insert if there is nothing available.

Nope.... the screws are black to match the black in the trim.

Black screws look best IMO but I have an unopened NOS band from 1977 with the OEM screws included that have stainless heads.
