Air conditioning ? Suburban

Ok guys, I recently purchased a 1996 Suburban 2500, 7.4. Has anyone here replaced the AC lines that goes to the rear unit ? The small line is seized to the fitting that goes to the rear evap core. Or does know what fittings to order to replace the alum front to rear hose with rubber AC barrier hose ?

I can't help you much here, but I would think it would be easier to get lines from the junkyard.

The rear evap units are hard to access. Most people cut an access hole in the plastic covering.

After I got in there, the PO had already cut the evap housing. Had duct taped it back together. I got a piece of the line at the junk yard, and am going to use a line splice. This A/C job has been a tough one. Lol

ok i did ac work on my chevy 1500 1994 w/t V6

new ac lines condenser and accumulator .

ok lines going into fire wall u have to be very very very careful breaking the threads, use penetrating oil for a few nights before even trying to break them loose. u screw the threads on these u are in big do do, as u would need to rip out the dash loose to replace evap core those are buried deep in under dash and firewall.

for the suburban it may be the same lines as mine but it's best to check autozone.

great having ac again..
