We started working on the engine mounts and also purchased the power steering bracket and power brake bracket from Captainfab (Very nice parts).

Thanks Rolland and yes the hood bird flew back on the shelf. I don't want anything to happen to it while we are working on it.

Well I finally have some updates to post after getting side tracked with the 1967 c20.
I pulled the steering column, heater box and master cylinder. Painted the firewall and installed the power brake bracket.

Installed the power steering adapter plate and steering box. Still need to weld a piece of pipe over the bolt that goes through the top of the frame.

Removed the rear axle. Now to swap over the mounting pads.

Should probably have gone with 3" drop springs because the axle is barely touching the bump stops. Camper must weigh to much.

Hey La Crosse, thanks for posting all of those pictures! I am restoring a 66 GMC and will soon be swapping in a front crossmember out of a '82 3/4 ton and a 14 bolt ff axle. I also have been wondering about replacement water pumps for these engines. Has anyone tried Flow Kooler for a water pump? Their website is www.flowcoolerwaterpumps.com Their site says that they can build a new impeller for a water pump that will flow better than the original.

Glad I could help.
I have bought a couple new old stock water pumps off of eBay over the last few months so I have not looked for new replacements.

I picked up this 1960 GMC Hydramatic steering column a few months ago. I rebuilt it and got it installed today. Now I just need to get a new shift indicator and shift lever.
Also cut the shaft down.
