Starter Heat Shield

Looking to buy a starter heat shield for our 2005 Tahoe with the 5.3 LS motor. Just replaced the starter and was told I should have one which makes since to me. I guess it was removed at some point previous and not mounted back in place. Installed a new starter and would like to have the heat shield again in place. Believe it wraps around the solenoid and attaches by using a spring clamp action? Not sure since I don't have one currently. Price shipped to 67152 zip code. Thanks

Re: Starter Heat Shield

Never seen one on an LS, they are thinking smallblock era. I have seen a picture before claiming for like a 99 but maybe it was actually an old 5.7 or something they did at first and stopped doing.

Ebay, Amazon, wherever. Just google the part number and you’ll have options
