235/70/15

too big for a 94 on a 5/7 drop?
now on 20s looking to get something for the winter. found some ralley wheels near by for decent price. 250 with tires.
tire size. 235/70/15 from 60 c10. need to know if i will have problems. or should i keep looking ?

i have stock rallies. think they are 7in from 97 but need tires. so my debate is, buy tires for the ones i have or go with the 8 inch wheels from old c10...hope they don't rub or mess up fenders until next year. just need to get thru winter. don't wanna spend 250 on whees and tires, then 4+ on tires.

suggestion

Re: 235/70/15

For a while, my old '93 ran a 235/75/15 on the factory 7" aluminum wheels when I dropped it 5/8. When I later switched to a set of steel wheels, I bought new tires for the front in 225/70 & 235/60 for the rear. Not sure on the 8" rally with 235/70. If it will, you may need to roll the fender lip (or trim it).

It'll rub in the front but the rear will be fine. I'm slightly smaller overall diameter in front and I rub on the bigger bumps that fully compresses the suspension. Not sure why everyone wants such skinny tires though? Ooops just noticed its just to get threw winter. Good luck!

thanks for reply. just put them on and it does rub up front. looks like only one side tho. seems p.o. might have shaved/cut back front fenders a little bit. but one side more then other.
so guess tomorrow morning i might take a shot at cutting or shaving the side that hits. this will get me thru winter. and if the look grows on me. i will try and go with the fattest tire i can put on 8 inch out back and best look i can find up front. or go back to 20's
